Maundy Thursday is one of the most significant days of the church year. Many churches keep a vigil all through the night and into Good Friday. At Holy Nativity, this important task is always given to our Youth Group who have an annual sleepover in the church!
We began by baking bread together and remembering the Last Supper, the meal Jesus Shared with his disciples in this day two millennia ago. Lots of fun and games were had before finally pitching the little dome tents for the night.
In the morning, we put up a cross in the church park and then made the all age stations of the cross service happen for the whole community.
Now we wait for the big celebrations on Sunday morning at 8am and 10am! See you there!
