Maundy Thursday Communion

On the Night before he was betrayed, Jesus had supper with his disciples and everyone is invited to Holy Nativity to share bread and wine.  During the service feet will be washed as we remember Jesus doing the same for his disciples.

All Age Stations of the Cross

Stations of the Cross is an interactive all age service for everyone. There will be lots of crafts and things to do for all ages!

Holy Saturday Confirmation | Halifax Minster

On the Saturday before Easter Day we are heading to Halifax Minster for a big celebration with Bishop Smitha at a confirmation. We have three members of our congregation being confirmed this evening. Ruth and Revd Robb will be leading the music for the service.

Holy Week

Holy Week is well under way as Christian communities around the globe make a spiritual pilgrimage towards The Cross of Good Friday and the eventual joy of Easter Day. In the modern world, it is easy to forget that the Christian faith is an ancient spirituality that we enter into as we ourselves become disciples thousands of years later. A New Role For a Familiar Face

Thanks to funding from the United Kingdom Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF)* Holy Nativity is about to embark on a three year project to develop our church building and expand the activities and community services that we provide. Holy Nativity turns 70 this year and the building has been at the heart of the community for all of that time, being originally funded by public subscription and arriving as a ‘flat pack’ church back in 1954. At teatime church this month we, looked at Abraham and the importance of our names and being known by God. We drew a picture based on the different meanings of our names and made keyrings. It was a really fun activity because we got to bake them in the oven and watch them shrink!
