Meet The Curate | Revd Fern
Greetings my name is Fern and I am looking forward to serving as your new curate from Sunday 2nd July. I have moved down from Durham with Jemima, my cat, where I have been studying for the last couple of years. Prior to my training I worked as a chemist in the hop industry, in Kent. In my spare time I enjoy scale figure modelling and painting, table-top gaming, reading (science-fiction, fantasy and history predominantly), and music – generally, the…
Summer Fair 2023
The weather may not have been in our favour but this year’s summer fair was a fantastic event.
Youth Group Hit The Beach!

After a hearty breakfast we filled our day sacks and hiked to Runswick Bay. Digging holes, burying each other in the sand and learning to float in the sea was the order of the day. After a steep climb up the hill to the minibus, we went to Beacon Farm…
Youth Group vs the Knights!
What a day we had as we battled against the elements and won! With a shaky looking weather forecast we got into the minibus with our waterproofs and headed to Scarborough Castle!
Youth Group Hit Whitby
After a good night’s sleep and a full English breakfast, youth group had sufficient energy to tackle Whitby!

Our New Bishop (to be)
Today, I went to Huddersfield University to meet our newly appointed bishop (to be) at the Jo Cox More in Common Centre. This morning at 10am, Downing Street announced that The Revd Canon Smitha Prasadam will take up the role of Bishop of Huddersfield later in the year. She is currently Chaplain of St Albans, Copenhagen. She explained that this means she is the only Anglican vicar in the whole of Denmark. It makes our parish from the top of…
Meet The Curate | Revd Lindsey
Hello. My name is Lindsey Barber and I am your new curate. I was ordained priest in June 2022. I currently live at Coley with my husband Andrew, his daughter Frankie and our two dogs, Emmi, the ageing border collie, and Thor, the little bulldog. I have an adult son, Ewan. My daughter, Olivia is married to Kane and they have a daughter, Harriet who is 18 months old. Both Ewan and Olivia live in Pontefract, which is where I’m…
