You may have spotted that we’ve had a strange design mown into the church park at Holy Nativity!
A labyrinth is a long winding path that leads to a central space. It is like a maze but does not have any wrong turns to get lost in- it is one clearly defined path.
Labyriths have been part of an ancient practice of prayerful meditation. As you slowly take each step you are invited to meditate and pray. Perhaps name someone you love with each step. Don’t worry too much about what to pray for, pray for others, pray for yourself, pray for the world or pray for our community in North Halifax.
And a massive thank you to Revd Jonnie Parkin who spent an afternoon with a lawn mower so that we can once again enjoy the labyrinth this summer. Hopefully Jonnie will be coming to lead the Rock Mass some time soon!
